Odin, ancestor of George Washington

While researching my Stowell ancestry, I was reading an old book called "Condensed Genealogy Stowell Family with Allied Families", written by Charles Henry Stowell, M.D., in 1912.

In this work, he gives families who married into the Stowell family, including the Washington family, which the author claims descended from Odin, the founder of Scandinavia, who went down in legend and folklore as a god - but he died in 60 B.C., with sons passing down his reign over Denmark for centuries. They conquered Sweden, Germany, Hungary, and Ireland.
