Newman Harvey was my 4th great-grandfather. He was born in Rhode Island and went to New York between 1820 and 1821, settling in Lapeer, Cortland County, New York. It appears his son, Dennis Harvey lived nearby. Today the road is called "Harvey Hill Road". The old 1855 map shown here shows the location of his home:
