Sun., 8/17 Same old duty in morning. Paid Kellets a petite call, coming home for supper, and then started out to meet Pa at Day’s but arrived as far as Lewis' with Ruth and it rained hard, stopping us from going further. Telephoned for Pa to call for us instead. Came home quite tired as the company is rather dreary. Married people always get on one’s nerves.
Mon., 8/18 Nothing different than usual.
This Mr. & Mrs. Lewis may have been relatives or descendants of Samuel Lewis. Samuel had died in Pittsburgh on Feb. 13, so it couldn't have been him and Mary Ann.
