Sat., 8/23 Worked as usual and slept afternoon away. Evening I took Ruth for a walk on a shopping tour. Met several of ma ami* and enjoyed a pleasant evening. (*French for "my friends").
Sun., 8/24 Oh Sunday morning never to be forgot I am afraid. Took Ruth for a visit to Uncle's new home. Meeting our new bridal pair for the first time since the wedding. Kellett called so we all strolled home together. Wore my new white suit which I felt all dressed up in.
