Biography

Albert Strong was born on April 22, 1819 in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania. (Note: His daughter, Ann's death certificate gives both her parents birth places as Connecticut). In 1880, he was living in Terry, Bradford County, PA, when the census was taken.

According to military records and the 1890 Veterans Census of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, he was a private in Company E, 152 Regiment, Third Pennsylvania Artillery. He enlisted Sept. 30, 1864 and was discharged June 15, 1865, serving 8-1/2 months.

​

He died on March 15, 1899 in Terrytown, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, and is buried in New Era Cemetery in New Era, Terry Township, Pennsylvania, with his wife, who died in 1896.
