Biography

Richard Treat, Esq., was baptized on August 28, 1584 at St. Andrew and St. Mary Church in Pitminster, Taunton Deane Borough, Somerset, England. He married Alice Gaylord before 1616 and he died in 1670 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut. He is buried in Wethersfield Village Cemetery.

Two of Richard's daughters are my ancestors. My 7th great-grandfather, Datus Ensign Jr's parents both descend from Richard Treat. They were 3rd Cousins 1x Removed:
