Martha Moore was born about 1736 in St Pauls Parish, Chestertown, Kent County, Maryland. "Martha's parents were William Moore (b. 1/17/1703 in St. Pauls Parish, Kent Co, MD, christened 2/24/1703 in St. Paul's Church, Kent Co, MD, d. 8/17/1781 in Kent Co, MD) and Rachel Medford (b: ABT 1703, d. BEF 1781). Martha's paternal grandparents were John Moore (b. ABT 1680 in Kent Island, MD, Kent Island is part of present day Queen Anne's Co, MD, d. 10/1/1728 in St. Pauls Parish, Kent Co, MD) and Elizabeth Dowland b. 3/6/1680 in Kent Island, Maryland, d. 4/2/1718)."
