Biography

Thomas Wood was born abt. 1635 in Norfolk, England. According to the Boston Transcript, “He had brothers: Josiah of Charlestown, also a carpenter; Obediah of Ipswich, and sisters: Elizabeth who m. Solomon Phipps; and Ruth who m. Phineas Upham of Malden. The parents of Thomas Wood may have been Edward and Ruth Wood of Charlestown. Edward was a baker”.

 

Thomas’ wife’s name was Ann, “probably Ann Hunt or Ann Todd. Ann Hunt had sisters Mary Grant and Susan Todd”. Thomas died on the 12th of September, 1687, in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.
