THE RUNAWAY
This 1958 masterpiece is one of Rockwell's most popular paintings. Set in a diner, a disgruntled little boy is perched on the barstool, next to a police officer. He has left home and his only luggage is a small napsack tied to a stick. Appearing sympathetic, the waiter and police officer discuss the matter with the child.
