Vital Records of Cambridge, Massachusetts to 1850 (Births)
Cambridge was called Newtowne from 1631 to 1638, when the name was changed to Cambridge. Lexington was formed from Cambridge in 1712. Part of Cambridge was annexed to Waltham in 1755. Parts of Charlestown were annexed to Cambridge in 1761 and 1802, and again in 1818 and 1820. Brighton was formed from Cambridge in 1816. In 1855 part of Watertown was annexed to Cambridge.
