Lewis Reese, early settler of Pottsville, PA

In 1796, Pottsville was first being settled. The first settle was William Zoll. He cleared some land and built a forge where he moved with his family. Indians and wilderness surrounded them. "In 1799, he sold the forge and cabin to Lewis Reese and Isaac Thomas, who enlarged and rebuilt the forge".
