Genealogy Resources for Oneida County, New York

Oneida County was formed from part of Herkimer County in 1798. Jefferson County and Lewis County were formed from parts of Oneida County in 1805 and in 1816 Oswego County was formed from parts of Oneida County and Onondaga County. The County Seat is Utica.

Oneida County encompasses approximately 1,213 square miles* in the State of New York.
