Genealogy Resources for Seneca County, New York

Seneca County was formed from part of Cayuga County in 1804. Part of Seneca and Cayuga Counties were taken to form Tompkins County in 1817. Then in 1823, Wayne County was formed from parts of Ontario and Seneca Counties. The County Seat is Ovid, Waterloo.

Seneca County encompasses approximately 325 square miles* in the State of New York.
