Nottingham Township was a township that existed for almost 168 years, from 1688 to 1856. It was originally incorporated as part of Burlington County but in 1838 it was made part of the new Mercer County. When Nottingham Township was dissolved in 1856, portions of it territory were split between Hamilton Township and Trenton.
