Newman A. Harvey & Gertrude E. Shirley had four known children. Their first born was a son named Ernest, who died at 3-days old, and afterward they were blessed with three daughters: Bessie, Mary and Ruth. The three girls are shown here, in front of their home with their mother. From left to right: Gertie, Ruth, Bessie & Mary.

Ruth married Henry Hennip and died on September 15, 1978 in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 67. Bessie married Earl J. Conklin and died in July of 1986 in Dryden, New York, at the age of 78, and Mary died on September 22, 1988, in Cortland, New York, at the age of 78.
