Mon., 5/5 Wrote a letter first thing received an invitation for Bea. Shower. Sewed the rest of the day. At evening one of W.H. soldier friend who has just come home came to call on us. Found William’s family amiable. Said he would call again soon.
Tues., 5/6 1st thing this morning received a letter from one of our playmates of childhood days who is now in the Army in France. Also a returned letter from ma petite frère*. Girls called upon me & we had a crazy time as usual. (*French for my little brother).
