Mon, 12/15 Today I finished the scarf I am making for one of the girls. Also made my Christmas cakes. Cleaned up and made supper. Father coming home early. Received a letter from Uncle George, who has been sick. I wish I had not to expect all the company for Christmas day and week. I think I feel so humiliated as to wish to go away. I cannot speak so free to my father for he seems to have lost his confidence.
