Esther (or Hester) Tourneur was born in 1662 in New Harlem or Flatbush, Ulster County, New York. She is not listed among the "issue" of Daniel de Tourneur in "Colonial Families of the USA, Vol 1607-1775", p. 721, but she is named in her mother's will. Esther married Frederick de Veaux and had thirteen children. She died in 1721 in Westchester County, New York.

Note: Daniel Tourneur's interesting biography is given in New Harlem Past and Present, p. 297. He and his family are mentioned hundreds of times in the book. See Revised History of Harlem, p. 634-641 for a report of 110 of Daniel's descendants.
