Lloyd John Reese

Lloyd John Reese, better known as "John", was born on the 21st of April, 1911, in Muncy Valley, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Maynard Reese and Ada Temple. Soon after his birth, his family moved to central New York, where he stayed throughout the remainder of his life. He married Mary Esther Harvey on the 18th of April, 1930, in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York. She was born on the 16th of March, 1910, in Newark Valley, Tioga County, New York, a daughter of Newman A. Harvey & Gertrude E. Shirley. After their children were grown, John and Mary divorced and lived in separate homes on the property they both owned on Main Street Extension in Freeville, New York. He spent his remaining days with his longtime partner, Helen (Cornelius) Robinson. He lived a long life, dying at the age of 93, on the 27th of January, 2005, in Cortland, New York. At least two of his forefathers fought in the American Revolution, and his grandfather fought in the Civil War.
