Biography
Mary Knowlton was born in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts, 1653. She married Samuel Abbe on October 12, 1672, in Wenham, Massachusetts, and removed to Windham, Connecticut. Samuel died in March of 1698 and Mary remarried to Abraham Mitchell, in Windham, Connecticut. She died in 1716 at the age of 62 or 63.

There is some confusion regarding Mary Knowlton, requiring additional research. Was she the daughter of William Knowlton & Elizabeth Balch, or of John Knowlton and Elizabeth Welch? Did she die in 1698 or 1716?
