Russell J. Leonard in Taunton, Massachusetts in 1840 in a household of 7 people. This family bears a striking resemblance to ours, but is almost certainly NOT our Charles Russell Leonard’s father. Similarities: Russell did have a son named Charles R. Leonard. Furthermore this son was born in 1830. Discrepancies: This Russell’s wife was Sarah Jane GILBERT, not Sophronia. Also, this Russell lived and died in Massachusetts, 463 miles east of Lockport, where our Russell was last heard from. Finally, his son Charles went to Providence, Rhode Island by 1850, married “Susan”, had one child, a daughter in 1860, and died there in 1861.
