Charles Leonard was born 29 Sept 1800 in New York and died 26 Apr 1865. He married Rosina ESTES (1805-1844) in Lyme in 1824. His occupation was “Clothier”. His wife Rosina died in 1844 at the age of 38. In 1860 his family was in Brownville, Jefferson, New York. Edgar (28), Mary A. (30), George (6), Ada (4), William (1), and Amasa (32). Where was Charles? He didn't die until 1865 according to “The descendants of Thomas Durfee of Portsmouth, R.I.”, by William Field Reed, 1902.

Some trees report his father as John Leonard b. 1775.

This Charles can be ruled out if Russell died bef. 1836.
