John Bacheller was Captain of his Company of Minutemen, Col. Ebenezer Bridge's Regiment, in Reading, Massachusetts.
This company entered the conflict at Concord. Name spelled Bachellor or Batcheller on the roster but there were no Bachellors or Batchellers in Reading at the time. There were several Batchelders including three named John who participated in the Revolution. (Genealogical history of the town of Reading, Mass., by Eaton, 1874, p. 693.
