Samuel Barnard was a Corporal in Capt. William Whitcomb's Company of Militia, Col. James Prescott's Regiment, in Stow, Massachusetts.
The men of Stow didn't reach Concord in time to engage, but pursued the British so closely as to deserve special mention.
