Imagine the sheer joy Americans must have felt when they realized they had won their independence from Great Britain, after generations of oppression and control by the monarchs of England. The first Independence Day must have been the biggest celebration in America ever. Let us remember, our freedom was not easily attained - but it can be easily lost.
