Robert Jasper Leonard was the son of Albert Jay Leonard and Rose Ellen Hollenbeck. He grew up on the Hollenbeck homestead his mother inherited from her father and named "Leonard Road" in Marathon, New York.
This photo of Robert holding a chicken was taken at the "old homestead", as my grandmother called it. She recalled at one time it was a large and prosperous farm.
Robert died in 1982 after much suffering from the effects of diabetes.
