Abraham Reese Sr

Abraham Rees (Reese) was born on March 21, 1783 or 1788, in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Reese and Magdalene Zerr. He married Catherine George abt. 1806 and he was listed as head of household in Hemlock, Northumberland County (now Columbia County), Pennsylvania in 1810. The home contained two boys under the age of 10, and Abraham and his wife, both between the ages of 16 and 25. He died on April 8, 1861, in Franklin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was 73 years old. He is buried in Franklin Stone Heap Cemetery in Unityville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Catherine died six years later, on the 25th of April, 1867, at age 77, and was buried in the same cemetery as her parents, about fifteen miles from her husband’s resting place.
