Ezra Leonard (1787-1850) of Sennett, son of Nathan. Ezra was born in Shaftsbury, Bennington, Vermont and lived and died in Sennett, Cayuga, New York. He married Laura HOWE (b. 1797-1798 and d. 1846) on 15 Nov 1818 and had three children: Mary (1821-1904), Benjamin Cutler (1823-1898), and Bowers Howe LEONARD (1835-1916). After Laura died, Ezra married Sarah ADAMS on 2 Feb 1848 in Skaneateles. He died just two years later at the age of 63.

His was one of the Leonard households in Cayuga County in 1820, with a boy fitting Russell Leonard's age.
