Isaac Stedman, my maternal 8th great-grandfather, was born in England in 1605 and came to America on the ship "Elizabeth" in 1635, with his wife and two sons. He moved to Boston in 1650 and had six known children. His son, Nathaniel Stedman, had a daughter named Mary, who married David Stowell. David and Mary Stowell were the 2nd great-grandparents of Newman Harvey's mother, Betsy (Stowell) Harvey.
